Showrooms

You can view many of our products in person in showrooms across the United States as well as in Canada, France, and the UK. View our locations to find a showroom near you.

Samples

6" x 6" samples are available for most products and can be ordered at no charge from the product page. To request a custom sample or larger size, contact us.

Custom orders

Most rugs are available in custom sizes and colors. Please see "Design process" below for more information about the custom ordering process.

All pillows are available in custom sizes. Some custom colorization is available.

Fabric and throws are available in varying degrees of customization. Please see the specific product page for each item's available customizations.

Design process

STEP 1: Standard Design Selection

Please contact your local Rosemary Hallgarten, Inc. sales representative to arrange a time to see all of our standard designs in the showroom. Your representative will guide you through our line until you settle on a particular design. If you do not have local representation, please contact us directly. We are also very happy to discuss a unique custom design for your client.

STEP 2: Color Selection

Rosemary's yarn necklace presents a personalized color palette. You may interchange any colors in any of our standard designs using this colorcard without any up-charges. If you would like us to develop a custom color or dye-to-match a specific color, please provide us with a pantone color number, fabric cutting or paint chip from which to work. Custom color development requires a strike-off.

STEP 3: Color Rendering

Rosemary Hallgarten, Inc. offers complimentary scaled color renderings with any order if required.

STEP 4: Strike-offs

One strike-off is included with your order. Rosemary recommends a strike-off for all custom designs as well as for standard designs where colors or motifs are altered. A strike-off usually adds 4-6 weeks to your lead time.

STEP 5: Production and Lead Time

Production will begin as soon as we have received a 50% deposit and all required renderings and strike-offs have been approved.  Below are the approximate lead times of our products. To obtain more accurate lead time information, speak with your showroom representative or contact us. We always do our best to expedite shipment when it is requested in order to meet project deadlines and installation dates.

Rugs:  4-6 weeks for strikeoff, 12-14 weeks for production
Ombre Fabric:  10-12 weeks
Custom Accessories:  6-8 weeks

Product facts and care

Peruvian Alpaca Rugs

Cousins to camels, llamas and vicunas, alpacas produce one of the most luxurious natural fibers in the world. The alpaca fiber has long been treasured by Peruvians as the fiber of kings and dates back to centuries-old works of art.

  • Alpaca fibers are naturally stronger than wool; and are less likely to break because of the structure of the fiber.
  • Alpaca is more impermeable to water than wool.
  • Natural oils repel dirt and dust, giving it a luxurious softness and sheen.
  • Alpaca is hypo-allergenic (because it is free from lanolin).
  • 100% Alpaca rugs do shed for a few months, which is part of the process of a natural fiber. Blending in wool reduces shedding.

 

Tibetan Rugs

The Tibetan Rugs are hand-knotted using Himalayan wool, which is imported from the highlands of Tibet. It is the highest quality wool available, shorn from sheep that graze at elevations over 17,000 feet. The wool is very high in lanolin and has an extraordinarily long fiber. Both of these elements contribute to its celebrated resiliency and durability. Himalayan wool is 100% natural. All silk used in the Tibetan Collection is imported from China and India. It has a uniquely high sheen and a very luxuriant finish. The cactus, nettle, and hemp fibers are all natural and processed entirely by hand in the villages of Nepal. These fibers are sustainable and non-toxic to the natural eco-systems of Nepal.

Brazilian Rugs

All fibers used in the Brazilian Line are products of Brazil. The materials used in the rugs are grown, harvested, and woven by local farmers and artisans. Their production does not adversely affect BrazilÕs natural eco-system.

Care for Rugs

Rugs should be vacuumed weekly, preferably using a vacuum cleaner without a beater bar. For spills, rugs can be dabbed lightly with water and ordinary shampoo. Send them out annually to an expert rug cleaner. Do not scotch guard or use chemical solvents.

Care for Throws and Pillows

Although dry cleaning is preferred, throws may be hand washed in cold water with ordinary shampoo. They may be steamed, but not directly ironed. Pillows may be dry cleaned or lightly spotted with water and shampoo.

Care for Outdoor Fabric

Washable at 105 F with mild detergent.  Line dry.  Do not iron, dry clean or bleach.  

Return policy

For online purchases, returns can be made within 15 days for store credit if the items are in unused condition. Store credit will be given for the purchase price of the items exclusive of shipping and handling. The buyer should arrange for the items to be sent back to the address below and include the order number, contact information, and email address in the package.

Refund policy

For all returned items that were purchased online, refunds will be given in the form of store credit for the purchase price of the items exclusive of shipping and handling. Refunds must be redeemed within 6 months.

Cancellation policy

Orders must be cancelled within 24 hours of original purchase.

Delivery/shipping policy

For all online purchases, shipping is restricted to the United States. If international shipping is desired, the customer should contact Rosemary Hallgarten, Inc. directly to make the purchase and arrange for shipping. If all items are in stock, the order will leave the warehouse within 2 to 5 business days. If any item is out of stock, the customer will be contacted within 2 to 5 business days to determine the appropriate course of action. All items will be shipped via ground delivery.

Rosemary Hallgarten, Inc. accepts Visa and MasterCard cards for online purchases. Please contact us to discuss payments via purchase order or personal check for custom orders.
